It is a trend nowadays for some couples to have a small, intimate ROM or wedding ceremony. A guest list limited to immediate family, relatives and close friends, such couples wish to have a truly meaningful event amongst those closest to them.

When considering venues for such an event, take note of the following :

• Accessibility of the venue and how easy is it to get to.
• Is there sufficient parking?
• How many people can they accommodate?
• The rental cost and any other associated charges, if any.
• Whether the setting and ambience of the venue are to your liking.
• If you are thinking of an outdoor ceremony, is there a contingency should it rain?
• Does the venue provide flowers and décor too?
• Is catering available for a reception?
• Is the venue’s team experienced and professional?

• Pay a booking fee to secure the date.
• Discuss full scope of details with the team at the venue.
• Do a site recce with your wedding planner and photographer.
